We were planning to head to Crater Lake to camp but it was too late in evening and decided to try this. So glad we did: clean bathrooms with running water and HOT water and showers!! The campground was tidy and we stayed 2 nights instead of 1. The hits was friendly and helpful. Can't fault the place. We stayed in area G.
The trash dumpster was overflowing and no separate recycling.
I believe he said he would be there until the end of September.
I just came back from this campground after having two nights there. If you are a real camping pro, compassionate with tons of wild mosquitoes, I would recommend this campground. They are waiting for you 24/7 to suck your blood. Campsites are spacious and the shower facility having endless hot water is so clean, but mosquitoes cancel all these advantages. I had to escape this site at 7:00 before they became active. But I saw more than 1,000 small guys were attached to the back of my car when my family left. It was amazing scene that I have never ever experienced.
Although my stay there was filled with many trials and tribulations I am giving a 5 star rating because of Jack the Camp Host. This guy was my hero for the night that I stayed there (7/3/17 - 7/4/17). To make a long story short, I got locked out of my car with all my gear inside. It took AAA 5 hours to finally assist me and Jack supplied with me with blankets, a light, bug spray, and even made me dinner while I was stuck. I highly recommend this camp ground not just because it is well kept but mostly because you will be in good hands with Jack around.
Nice campground, there aren't many other campers, facilities and showers are well kept and there is plenty of hot water. There are lots of mosquitoes so be prepared.
Note: there is no soap in the toilet/ showers so hope you have your own.
We love the campground but the restroom on F loop was just awfull. Truly it was awfully dirty. Please, please make some renovation at least keep it clean. Love the main shower and the restroom, so we did some donations in the box because we loved the campground and want to see some upgrades in restroom, Loop F next year.
